Digital copy of the EPiC Community Safety Booklet

EPiC - Empowering People in Communities

DIGITAL COPY OF THE EPiC COMMUNITY SAFETY BOOKLET

Following last night’s “An Evening With Northumbria Police” at the Community Centre, the EPiC team handed out a community safety booklet to residents who attended.

For anyone who was unable to get a copy, I’ve created a clean digital version of the booklet (below).

The booklet includes information on:

• What the EPiC team does

• Anti-social behaviour and community safety

• Reporting suspicious activity

• Burglary prevention advice

• Doorstep crime advice – Stop, Chain and Check

• Useful contact numbers for Northumbria Police

• Hate crime reporting

• Fire safety advice

• Kitchen and night-time safety checklists

• Alcohol and drugs support information

• Newcastle City Council services, including waste, fly-tipping, graffiti, dog fouling, abandoned vehicles and vandalism

• Private rented housing support

EPiC stands for Empowering People in Communities. Their role is to help improve community spirit, restore community pride, address attitudes towards anti-social behaviour and support work around crime and community safety.

They work with residents, businesses, stakeholders, statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to help tackle issues affecting communities.

The leaflet also included QR codes for the EPiC Facebook pages. I have removed the QR codes from the digital version and will share the direct link instead:

A big thank you to the EPiC team, Northumbria Police and everyone who attended last night’s meeting
