Advertise your Great Park business for free on Great Park Gazette
Great Park Gazette is offering local businesses the opportunity to advertise on our website completely free of charge.
The aim is simple: to support genuine local businesses, help residents discover services available within their own community and give Great Park-based traders an additional way to reach potential customers.
There is no advertising fee and no subscription.

• The business owner is a resident of Newcastle Great Park
or
• The business itself is based or operates from an address within Newcastle Great Park

HOW TO APPLY
If you would like your business featured, please use the Contact page on the Great Park Gazette website.
In your initial message, please include:
• Your name
• Business name
• What your business does
• Your connection to Great Park
• Contact details
• Website or social media links, if applicable
• A short description of the services or products you provide
• The areas you cover
• Any relevant opening hours or availability
• Any other information that may help us verify your business
You do not need to send a photograph at this stage.
The website contact form does not currently support image uploads.
If your submission is accepted, we will contact you directly using the email address you provide and ask you to send a suitable photograph for your business feature.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Every published business feature must include a genuine photograph connected to the business.
Once your application has been accepted, we will ask you to provide an image such as:
• You at work
• Your team
• An example of your work
• Your premises
• Your products
• Your branded vehicle or equipment
Where possible, we prefer genuine photographs rather than generic stock images.
Please only provide photographs that you own or have permission to allow Great Park Gazette to publish.
BUSINESS VERIFICATION
To protect residents and maintain confidence in the Business Ads section, we may carry out basic checks before publishing an advertisement.
Depending on the type of business, we may ask for one or more pieces of publicly verifiable information, such as:
• Companies House registration number, where applicable
• Business website
• Established business social media page
• Professional or trade association membership
• Relevant licence or registration where the type of work legally requires one
• Evidence of appropriate business or public liability insurance where relevant
• A business email address or other established business contact details
Sole traders do not need to be registered at Companies House, so not having a company number will not prevent somebody from advertising.
We will never ask you to provide private HMRC information, tax returns, Unique Taxpayer Reference numbers, bank statements or other unnecessary sensitive financial information.
The purpose of these checks is simply to establish that advertisements come from genuine businesses rather than anonymous or misleading accounts.
REGULATED BUSINESSES
Some types of business may require additional checks.
Depending on the service being advertised, we may ask for details of relevant registrations, licences or professional bodies.
This could include businesses operating in areas such as childcare, food, electrical work, gas services or other regulated professions.
Any information requested will be limited to what is reasonably necessary to verify the business.
WHAT WILL YOUR FEATURE INCLUDE?
Approved businesses can receive their own post within the Great Park Gazette Business Ads section.
This may include:
• Business name
• Description of services
• Photograph
• Contact details
• Website
• Social media pages
• Areas covered
• Opening hours or availability
• Relevant prices, promotions or offers supplied by the business
Residents will then be able to find local businesses through the Great Park Gazette website whenever they need them.
COMPLETELY FREE
There is no charge for appearing in the Great Park Gazette Business Ads section.
We do not take commission, charge for leads or require businesses to purchase advertising packages.
This is simply another way the Great Park Residents Group and Great Park Gazette can support people who live and work within our community.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
Businesses featured on Great Park Gazette are independently operated.
Publication of a business advertisement does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, guarantee or warranty by Great Park Gazette or the Great Park Residents Group.
While we may carry out basic checks to help establish that a business is genuine, these checks should not be treated as a substitute for a customer’s own due diligence.
Great Park Gazette and the Great Park Residents Group do not guarantee:
• The quality of any goods or services
• The accuracy of information supplied by an advertiser
• That a business is suitable for a particular job or customer
• The outcome of any work carried out
• The availability, pricing or terms offered by a business
Residents should always carry out their own checks before purchasing goods or services, particularly where work involves regulated trades, significant financial commitments or access to their home.
Where relevant, residents may wish to check qualifications, licences, registrations, insurance, reviews, references and written quotations before proceeding.
Any agreement, contract or transaction is made directly between the resident and the business concerned.
Great Park Gazette and the Great Park Residents Group are not parties to those arrangements and cannot accept responsibility for disputes, losses, damage, poor workmanship or other issues arising from goods or services supplied by an advertised business.
